What is Hymenoplasty?

Hymenoplasty, also known as hymenorrhaphy, is the cosmetic repair, restoration, or construction of a woman’s hymen. Restoration of the hymen is also referred to as revirginization. This procedure may also be done in combination with other cosmetic vaginal procedures. Women seek this procedure for variety of different reasons such as cosmetic repair or cultural reasons. Hymenoplasty is usually done as outpatient procedure and you may return to work the next day. You will be restricted to do some activities such as heavy lifting or going to the gym for 48-72 hours after your procedure.
